Day 60 (Thurs)
1st thing i did when i woke up this morning: rush to the phone downstairs and made a phone call to the waterpark advisory hotline...an automated recorded message answered me...
"There is no weather advisory report to report at the moment. Please report for your in-service training or duty as scheduled. Thank you."
Wah piangz...it's still raining outside loh...in fact the downpour continued through the entire night...and wad ya mean by no weather report?? how ya expect us to step out of the house when it's still raining heavily...or the more report for work?? damn sian...was hoping can sleep longer...set off to make my lunch and eat my breakfast...no time to bathe again...
juz before set off for work...decided to try our luck and call the Guest services this time where there should be someone manning the line...HO SEH ah!!! the operator told us that due to the rain...report at 11'o clock...wah damn it...say earlier lah...den can go back and sleep...now already fully awake cannot sleep liao...
spent the next 1-2hours surfing net and chatting online...played around wif Naf's new bought camera Canon powershot SD30 from New York...quite sleek and compact...juz find the LCD screen too small and navigation buttons too flimsy...but overall quite a good bargain since it's quite a new model in the market...
finally made our way to the waterpark at 11...the rain had stopped but it is still damn friggin cold...it's been a while since i put on my long-sleeved shirt for work...wah lau i tot summer is here?? was sent out to Shoals Floater for my 1st spot...whispering under my breadth "No Sky Pond...No sky pond...tolong tolong...No sky pond"
the waterpark crowd is damn freakin pathetic...one of the worst days i seen since working for like 1.5 months...for the 1st time in my 1st shift...i saw practically no one...no child...no kid...no baby at shoals floater...in fact the numbers were so pathetic that for the rest of the day...they put one guard at shipwreck shoals...guarding both the shoals cargo and shoals floater...the farnie thing is when i was up at the serpentines tower overlooking the whole pier...ML was damn crowded...there was queue for almost every ride and my sea dragon was filled to quite a capacity...yah lah i mean so cold who will still come to the waterpark...but there juz seems to be the odd number to defy the natural order...
damn heng...miraculously escaped the sky ponds...certainly not a good day to go up even with wet suit on...decided to work at ML since hours got cut short by the weather this week...chiong to Macs with JK for a quick dinner before going back to change and reported at 8pm...haha the moment i reached there sea dragon had to be closed...the lap bar switch not working and can't open the lap bars...people were stuck in their seats...haha...dunno i suay or what...happen a few times already when i juz reach ready for work...jus nice got some problem...in the end got a 1 hour break and chatted with stacy while asking people to shoo the ride...talked about our countries...our school...the places we have visited and the work here and so on...wah lau ask her to guess my age and she straight away say 20...can't blame her...she's better already...got people say I look like 18 before...used to think looking young is a severe disadvantage esp for a guy...but now beginning to see the other side of it...there are benefits of looking younger too...hek hek...
for the 1st time since i work on this ride 2 months ago...i finally tried it taking the best seat of all...the last row...stacy insist i sit before i leave and i got no choice but to oblige otherwise she tink singapore guys CMI...wah kaoz eh!! it's really damn bloody scary lah...totally much worse den i expected...always see small kids taking rides and sometimes by themselves den tot shud be nothing much...wah lah when reach the top the instant before coming down...u will feel ur butt leave the seat against ur will and without the lap bars...i guarantee u end up at wildwood bus terminal...dunno why people still raise their hands and try to stand up...it's freakin crazy lah...but feel damn shiok after that...glad i tried it...feel all perked up as i walked back to the Mag...as some people always say "Do one thing that scares you everyday"
