Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Day 55 (Sat)

Internet down for the 2nd day again...wah damn it...why must wait a day i OFF den internet down...wah kaoz...really lucky got 2 mega world cup matches to keep me company for the day...haha...it's a good thing that never go Washington in the end also...can stay back at the Mag and watch World Cup...World Cup...World Cup...World Cup...Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole..

Went with JK to the lounge at apartment 1 to watch Eng vs Port game...damn shiok nobody...lay down on the sofa with JK's Doritos...and spent the whole morning watching the match...but the match really never live up to all the hype...damn boring budden again it is England so wad ya expect...the whole world cup they have been playing at such sub-standard...still say their best chance to win this year...i tell u Beckham...u wanna win world cup den juz host it again like in 1966...and also put all english referees for all ya game...i confirm u will win it...

cooked my lunch after the match and before i knew it...the start of Brazil vs France...can u believe it...it's my 1st time watching both powerhouse in this world cup...wah lau tell me how many matches have i missed man...and how can u say watch world cup without Brazil the kingpin of world football...the match is a 100% better than the prev one...zidane is really the man...so old still so solid...the way he control, flick and pass is simply breath-taking...and France truly deserve to win this closely-fought match...defitnitely in the reckoning now as a serious contender...

spent a few hours slacking after the game...lying on the sofa of the lounge refusing to bulge...felt like taking a nap there but scared the hong kees come back den paiseh...contemplate for a while whether to work tonite but in the end decided not to...gonna rest the whole day and it's saturday man! the crowd is bound to be crazy...but got no internet!! no internet...no work and no plans for the nite so decided to go Boardwalk and soak up the atmosphere...grabbed my mp3 and camera and went for a photo hunt along Boardwalk all by myself after dinner...

not a bad feeling to be alone sometimes...i mean since coming to US i have not really spent some time by myself...not saying i am tired of communal living...but i do think time to time still need to go out for some fresh air on your own...and do some soul-searching and thought-reflecting...hahaha but seriously...u need some privacy sometimes...took a few pics during my 2 hour walk along Boardwalk...got disturbed by a half-naked, half-drunk, whole body tatooed ruffian...approached me and signal me to take down my earphone...i juz smiled and continued walking...he wanted to follow but lucky it's a Sat nite...police are on patrol almost everywhere...so i guess that gangster got detered by their presence somewhat and decided to leave me alone...if not he's in for some kung fu surprise from me...heh

The signature "Welcome to Wildwood" signboard along Boardwalk
The weekend crowd at Boardwalk...almost like Chinatown during Chinese New Year...can hardly walk

"Watch the traincar please...Watch the traincar please"

I like this signboard a lot...very colourful and cute...walk by this to ML almost everyday

Adventure Pier...till now still haven't tried any of the rides yet

Spotted an UFO...sending this pic to NASA for further investigation

Boardwalk Mall...the shops inside reminds me of a mixture of Bugis and Far east...selling street wear...acessories...souveniers and so on

Candy Land...what a "song" yet very apt name...selling all kinds of sweet thingies there possibly is...not exactly a fan of sweet but the funnel cake is simply awesome

Mariner's Landing...my homeground...my territory...my "teh pung"...wish i can bring back the wheel with me...

Surfside Pier...the blue & green tower is the "atmosfear"...not as tall and exciting as Genting's "Space Shot" though

Indeed Indeed...will miss this Boardwalk when i fly back next month

Internet still down after my Boardwalk stroll...but heard from others still can detect the Magnolia network from the balcony...so with a bottle of Bud Light each...one bottle of pringles and our laptops...Ken and Me set off for the balcony...not a bad feelin surfing net on the balcony...at least it's cool and windy...but u do need a windbreaker or something...after 1 hour or so...feel warm and cosy from the alcohol...ready for bed...
