A full day at the waterpark which seems like such a rarity these days when hours are hard to come by...new batches of lifeguards are coming in at a speed second only to the freshly baked bread at the local bakery...I seriously find it hard to comprehend that the waterpark actually needs so many lifeguards...with the size of the pie fixed...everyone's share is naturally smaller...
not that i am complaining actually...finding it harder and harder to motivate myself to work everyday...all i can think of are the places i will be visiting in a matter of 3 weeks...seeing Ground Zero after hearing so much about it since 9/11...the out-of-this-world luxurious casino hotels in Las Vegas...the Hoover Dam - dubbed one of the world's 7 engineering wonders...Grand Canyon...Hollywood...Disneyland...Taipei 101...xi meng ting...shi lin nightmarket....ahhhh i wanna quit lifeguard now!!! arrghhh...right now!!!
enough said...kenna 3 shifts at the skypond today...one at the start of the day...one right after lunch and one end of the day...the last shift was the worst for there was a slight drizzle...and a mysterious fog from the atlantic ocean suddenly started to shroud the whole waterpark vicinity...really a classic case of bad luck at work...3 shifts at sky pond...seriously not a joke...
came up with a new dish today......

Black pepper chicken with mixed Veggie
spent like almost close to an hour preparing this yet-to-be named dish...ok i know i still an amateur cook and not fit to give out receipes of any sort but here's how i did it anyway...
1. Deforst the chicken drumsticks bought from superfresh which cost like only $3.86 for 15 pieces of drumsticks for like 15minutes with added help of microwave
2. Skin the drumsticks...with a lethal knife scrap out the valuable pieces of chicken meat from the drumsticks...remember to pull out the tendons...and watch out for ya fingers!!
3. Marinate the meat with teriyaki sauce or soy sauce (leftovers from panda) for 5-10 minutes...literally massaging through every piece of meat
4. Heat up 2 teaspoons of oil in medium heat for 3-4 minutes and sprinkle some sliced garlic until u hear the "pop pop" sound
5. Pour in the marinated chicken and fry...fry...fry...fry...fry until u see no more red red...
6. Pour the microwaved mixed-veggies of corns, carrots and peas and continue frying
7. Spray black pepper all over the pan and let the chicken soak in the black pepper for 4-5 minutes...den fry somemore...
8. Simmer the contents for 2-3minutes
9. Ready to serve!!!
yummy...really song!! even though it may not be the best chicken I ever ate...but it is certainly the most satisfying it...every bite of it justify all the effort put in...the sweat, tears and blood (exaggerate a bit)...certainly worth all the effort...a well-deserved homecooked meal after a xiong day at work...confirm will cook somemore chicken again...experimenting with other stuff like broccoli, carrots, potatoes and so on...coming up with my next dish pretty soon...so stay tune to "Leon can cook" culinary show...hahahaha
