Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Day 58 (Tues)

INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!! Wishing my host nation a Happy Independence Day! Celebrating their Independence since 1776...the world's greatest superpower (muz paw abit...haha)

Woke up super early at 6.30 am this morning...the earliest I ever woke up since my jet lag recovery period during the initial days...bobian got in-service at 7.30 so need to wake up 1 hour early to eat breakfast, prepare lunch and bathe...it's gonna be a freaking long day...literally 12 hours...after a bad day yesterday...juz keeping my fingers crossed today...

Team Wave...after in-service this morning...spot me!! (pic courtesy of yenny)

the in-service this morning was jus like any other...routine announcements followed by a get-to-know-you kindda of game andden hit the water for active skills practise...damn my wound still raw and still need to hit the water...ouuuuchhhh!!

the crowd is slightly less crowded than yesterday...some guests were clearly clad out in Independence Day attire...with more guests wearing T-shirts, Board Shorts and Bikinis in the American colours...the day went quite normal for me...but was pretty exhausted by mid-noon...who would'nt be?? in the middle of a 12-hour shift...

was at Sky Pond A for the last half hour when clouds began to gather and the winds became stronger...andden an annoucement over the speakers saying severe tropical storms are heading the area and advising guests to exit the pools and pack up and go...some people clearly don't understand english...risking their lives for the sake of 2 min of thrill...they juz kept coming up the sky pond even after the announcement has been made...i really don't understand what they thinking...the last 15 minutes was getting harder to bear...and i gotta stay inside the water to keep warm...andden before i knew it...my Guard singlet flew out of the railing...wah damade...bad luck clearly runs in spates...lucky enough it landed near the end of the picnic area...any slightly more i would have to walk bare-body home...in the wind and rain...how pathetic would that be...haha

Internet not working again!! wah liew...went out to the balcony with laptop in hand to surf and check email...worse cannot detect Magnolia network...after much trying the Mag 2B connection was finally restored...and the balcony was getting more crowded with the Independence Day fireworks eagerly aniticipated...

slight drizzle began to fall...coinciding with the start of the fireworks display...all i can say is SPECTACULAR...one of the best fireworks display i have seen in years...the whole display seems to follow some sort of melody and the finale was simply awesome...really enjoyed it very much and after the end of the display...rounds of applause ringed out along Magnloia Ave spontaneously...did'nt take any pics though coz i know it would'nt turn out nice anyway with no tripod and SLR...haha speaking like a pro...aftall took some fireworks before during AJ k...

From the balcony: watching the sizzling fireworks in the drizzle: Ken, Jen, Yen & Me

head off to bed early after a long exhausting day...and another 2 days to tong...full days tml and thurs before half day on fri and Long weekend!!! World Cup final...Italy Vs France...can't hardly wait man...purposely apply OFF on sun...how can one miss the world cup final!!??!
