Day 59 (Wed)
The light drizzle last nite simmered down the temperatures over the past few days somewhat...bringing a temporary relief to the summer heat...it has become so overbearing to such a stage that i literally wake up with my bedsheet wet almost every morning...YES!! I wet my bed!! with my soaking sweat...boy it's damn hot...and our room dunno why no ventilation also...fan on full blast...windows open big big still damn bloody hot every nite...but at least it is a sign summer is here to stay...no more shivering days at sky pond!! YEAH!!
report for work at 10 today...consider late by nowadays standard...was sent to do CPR audit straight away...andden was assigned to find more people to do CPR audit...taking over their spots while they are going thru the audit...and before I knew it...it is past noon liao...and after staying in 1 or 2 spots...was called out for lunch break...ate my lunch alone for the 1st time in many weeks...usually they will put all the singaporean lifeguards on lunchbreak together...but becoz today change to a new head guard...dunno the custom well...then random pick pple fo lunch...
time seems to fly by in the aftnoon today...maybe because aft my 15minutes break sent me out with broom and caddy to sweep the park...how i love this job...can walk around the park balong long...find your friens and "disturb" them and simply admire the view...haha...the park was closed 1 hour early at 6pm due to a sudden downpour...
a lifeguard party and dinner was planned for the evening at the picnic area and due to the rain was brought forward an hour...dinner of wraps with different fillings such as chicken, bacon, turkey and vegetable was served...quite filling i muz say...at least it is more healthy den the pizza we normally get...all of us including the ocean oasis lifeguards and guest services pple was spilt into tables of 10 each...my table got pple from russia, turkey, ecuador and one geeky looking american majoring in history in college...wah this guy knows his stuff man...can tell me singapore was once part of malaysia and got separated in 1960s and the present vietnam and laos are ruled by communists...damn impressed by him and his level of knowledge...reminds me of an ang moh version of Quek...haha...and he sure came in handy for our trivial quiz later...some rather interesting questions were asked...here are some...
