Day 63 (Sun)

Yeeyeah!! 2nd off day in a row...damn shiok wkend off is the best for the waterpark and pier crowd is at an insane and often uncontrollable levels...and of coz purposely apply OFF today becoz it's the 4-year one time, the king of all matches and the must-watch Italy vs France world cup final!! My gut feeling and the team i am rooting for: the Azzuris!! Because they have been such a stable, organised and consistent team thruout the tournament...and simply becoz they are not relying on some 34-year ah pek weaving his magic...no disrepect to zidane and co...but it is Italy's year...GO GO ITALY!! GO GO Azzuris!! Go Go Maldini (eh paiseh he retire liao...my fav player of all time)

woke up at 10plus this morning...meeting jen, yen & erlina to go Ocean Oasis...it's their last day at wildwood...they are leaving for travel tml and coz they starting their sch summer programme early den gotta end work early and go back to s'pore...gonna miss their company *sobz*

after havin our share of fun at OO in the morning...it's time for some World Cup!! head down to the apartment 1 lounge and watched with JK, Yen and erlina before some spanish guys came and join us...even when italy trailing 1-nil to zidane penalty...i juz feel italy is gonna win...they totally dominated 1st half and when it comes to the nail-biting penalties...i knew it's gonna be Italy for sure even though they have not won any penalty shootout in world cup history...in the end the Italians held on for a famous victory...avenging their euro 2000 loss final to the same opponents by a wiltord extra-time goal...the match only to be marred by the unexplainable antics of a legend - zinedine zidane...only the man knows waddahell he was doing...

head straight down to superfresh...Ken and Me have decided to cook a simple farewell dinner for the 3 gals tonite and off we went in search of our ingredients...pressure is on to deliver food of at least acceptable quality...haha never cook for so many pple in my life before man (not counting bbqs of coz)

*tetetetete* our final product...ken bao the stewed beef with broccoli and cauliflower and the super spicy sze chuan soup while i bao the black pepper chicken with mixed veggies and the "koyak" omelette with sausages

wah the response turn out to be rather good...haha...all of them seemed to have enjoyed the dinner and it's always a joy to hear others praise about your cooking and Ken and me certainly felt our heads grow bigger during dinner...haha...not that they have a choice...haha juz joking but glad all of us enjoyed the dinner and enough to go around in the end...after dinner we all sat down and recounted our experience during our lifeguard training...how we actually endured the cold...our work...the things we are gonna miss in wildwood and our fav supervisors if any...we went round in circle sharing on how this work and travel programme has changed us in a way...how we come out of our comfort zone to meet new friends from all over the world...the feeling of getting paychecks - some of us earning $$ for the 1st time...how we have to compromise and learn to see things from others' perspectives even if we think we are right...for me personally i seriously learn not to take things for granted...last time hungry mum will cook...and clothes dirty mum will wash...i really learn to appreciate things more now...my family esp and my friens back in s'pore...and hopefully i have matured from this experience...

set off to clean our pathetic kitchen after dinner...and not without melissa the recruiting officer dropping by to pay a surprise visit in the aftnoon...3 words she said "Utterly disgusting disgraceful" once we opened our door aft coming back from superfresh...hahaha..really saw it coming...anyway gotta clean the mess sooner or later...since the apartment need to be cleaned before we can get back our 100 bucks deposit...retire for the nite at ard 2 plus...an eventful off day...ready to begin one brand new week of 10/20s, sky ponds and young teenage punks...
