Day 44 (Tues)
2nd day of Bally's Casino retreat...there's not as many casino employees as compared to yesterday but still a significantly higher proportion than the normal crowd...came to know later that there was heavy rain at atlantic city in the afternoon where most of the casino employees hailed from...it really doesn't matter to me whether it is a crowded or quiet day at the park for me actually...got people or nobody...one still gotta have his 10/20 done...but i cannot say the same for the sky ponds...that means a whole lotta of american arsses need to be pushed around...
the day also started early with in-service training at 8.30 this morning...something that kindda of cannot miss coz it's gonna affect the bonuses i get at the end of my stay...went into the waters straight after some routine announcements and a short game...practised and refreshed the water skills that were taught during training...kindda of slack but good thing hit the waters early in the morning...felt totally refreshed after coming out of the pool...ready to start a day of lifeguarding and save some lives...yah rite...
was audited before lunch by rokas...a seasonal supervisor from Lithuania...there are a few supervisors like him ard too hailing from places like slovenia, russia, Poland and Ukriane...these supervisors were juz like us 1 or 2 summers ago and probably due to their good performance were invited by morey's pier back for another season...to be some sort of mentor to the new batch of international students and in some occasions a translator...a funny thing why no singaporeans were invited back for another season...haha...anyway passed my child CPR audit and was promised a bead but the bead never came...sighz seems like it that my bead count has to end so prematurely with the beads getting harder to come by everyday...
after lunch was sent back to do lifejackets at the deep pool for the 2nd day in the row...dunno i really kenna condemned or what but lauren purposely pulled me out of the rotation juz to ask me to go do lifejackets...Naf joked that the supervisors think i got some inherent ability to differentiate a non-swimmer and a swimmer...haha wad a good and consoling way to put it actually...but it's ok lah condemn or not i take it easy already...now i will rather they take me out of the rotations now and then...scanning is getting real boring these days...
went for a jog after work with Ken after deciding not to work at ML for the 2nd straight night...have never in my life jogged in such scenic conditions...i was simply overwhelmed by the vast beachline and the strong yet soothing sea breeze...asked Ken to go back first while i took a stroll down the beach myself and spent a good 15min staring at the Atlantic Ocean...since i came here i have never felt so peaceful with myself...the sand, waves and breeze really has a therapeutic effect...or maybe it's my love for the sea since young...as it always give me a feeling of calmness and a sense of liberation from all the mundane school stress...and hopefully with my acceptance into offshore engineering...will have opportunites to work offshore in the future...and rekindle this penchant for the oceans and seas...on my offdays i will scuba-dive admist untouched beautiful natural corals...andden in the evening lie down in my hammock with this bikini babe reading a piece of romantic fiction...Oiyah forgot to add in the corona...hahaha...muz be the lack of sleep...
