Day 43 (Mon)

Bally's Casino from Atlantic City has booked the whole Mariner's Landing for their annual summer retreat for their employees...all the casino staff brought along their family and friends and of coz the crowd is freakin big...a lot of Asian faces among the guests...got Chinese, Indians, Thais among some of them...even heard Cantonese during lunch...btw as part of the casino retreat...the lifeguards were also given free lunch...wah never eat until so full for lunch for quite some time...getting really sick of self-made chicken bologna sandwiches everyday...and i seriously mean everyday...the free lunch got beef burgers, hotdogs, mashed potato, salad, macaroni, chicken wings and icecream but they say lifeguards cannot take the last two...nb dunno why also...the thing i wanna most is the grilled wings lah...wah lau but no complaints...free lunch + my sandwiches and i walked out with a bulged stomach out of the picnic area after a welfare 45min long lunchbreak...

had a somewhat diff task straight after lunch...was sent to the deep pool to do lifejackets...asking guests whether they need lifejackets and putting on for them...wah simply love this job...away from the monotony and boredom of 10/20...enjoy it so much that i did'nt realise 3 hours passed juz like that...discovered that i actually have this previously-undiscovered love for interacting with small kids while on the job...hahaha...some of them r really so cute that i really wish i can squeeze their fat soft cheeks...andden carry them and stroke sayang sayang...putting on lifejackets for them is a pleasure really and kids r so polite here...dunno why they all turn into rascals when they reach their teens...

went to rite aid with yen and jen to enquire abt the job...wah lau tell us the manager away for 9-day vacation...without even leaving instructions about us...total internal miscommunication...getting really fed-up...but no choice the takeover manager say will call us when she received the paperwork when the manager already told me they had it but juz no names and social security numbers and she juz have to match it up...now go jek hong also never say anything...so damn irresponsible

end up buying these chocolate at rite aid...on offer 2 for 3 bucks...strongly recommended by yen & jen

went superfresh with ken aft realising my bread and pasta sauce ran out...initially juz wanna buy both but finally beh tong...bought prawns, bella mushroom and orange juice...wah i juz went superfresh on Fri and now spend $$ again...andden disaster struck at the cashier!!! wah piangz they changed all to paper bags and no more plastic bags and we have so much stuff to carry...no plastic bag how to carry and those paper bags are wad u seen on american shows all the time with a big croissant bun sticking out...wah damn xiong and hard-core alocholics like us still went to the liquor shop to buy bud light...really asking for it...carried for a few streets and we saw hope rising from the far horizon......

nichole and athery pushing superfresh trolleys back!! wah lau all men's pride muz really let go with the amt of load we carrying...even ken - the combat-engineer officer trained contemplating using illegal method of pushing trolleys back...really feel a bit paiseh asking gals to help us carry groceries and even more paiseh so much things liao still go buy beer...haha

went wif ken to the balcony aft 1plus with a bottle of pringles, 1 bud light each and a guitar in hand...can u believe it this is the 1st time i ever step into the balcony...wah shiok even though it is pouring and gotta report at 8.30 for in-service tml...chilling out on this cold american summer night with your best buddy...
