Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Day 35 (Sun)

Always feel a little out of touch and lethargic when one goes back to work aft a day off or holiday...this sian feeling pretty much sums up my mood for the entire day...was assigned the fountain pool for my first spot early in the morning...it seems there is always this affinity and love-hate relationship between me and the fountain pool...love becoz there is a chair to sit one of 2 spots where lifeguards can sit while scanning (the other is at the serpentines splash)...hate becoz it is the place where i kenna scoldings the most...for not scanning the pool, not rotating my head, not putting on my visor and not changing my posture...the thing abt fountain pool is that it is juz located outside the main office where managers and supervisors walk by all the time...and they r prob smart in putting the fountain pool der...the most cao keng place under direct supervision...

got audited halfway thru the day...again the 2nd working day in a row...i tink they seriously tink i beh kan as a lifeguard...whole day juz come look for me to audit...other pple also dun have...this time i only confirm their fears as i failed the 10-20 audit...took longer than normal to scan...i tink this whole 10/20 thing is quite crappy not becoz i failed it den i say that...the whole idea is to scan the pool thoroughly to look for anything amiss and not to juz complete it within 10 pathetic seconds...and it is seriously area-dependent...they shud really formulate another rule according to area or simply put more lifeguards at a bigger spot...i mean the whole idea is to spot something amiss asap rite and not do some textbook-style method and den not do what is supposed to be done...anyway who i am to say all this?? a summer lifeguard with 2 wks of experience and juz failed an audit??

decided to do some serious housekeeping aft being released early AGAIN (trying to sound excited)...my neatness threshold has finally been breached...packed my messy and ovefilled drawer...took the vacuum cleaner to vacuum the carpet and the entire room and changed the trashbag for the 1st time in a month...killed a few flies in the process btw...the flies here are really clumsy, stupid and slow for some reason...and slowly take newspaper and approach them and they still wun fly away...feel so much better aft seeing the room in a much tidier and proper state...

Thanks Timone for the fan...really need it on the odd night when it gets really warm sometimes...notice how i stress the word sometimes...
