Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Day 32 (Thurs - Lifeguard Training Day 4)

Finally last day of lifeguard training...the whole training course is not say very xiong lah...juz that most of it is repeated stuff which we have learned 2 weeks ago so a bit boring...and the stupid weather for the past 3 days...i am starting to believe there is some curse on us...whenever training weather sure bound to be bad, lousy, cold, like shit whatever it will be...juz opposite of bright and sunny...

once again the "oldies" which included the singaporeans, ukrainians and columbians was asked to report later than the rest becoz we have went thru the lifeguard orientation...the whole day was pretty much spent on reviews, summaries and tests...some things diff from the previous training is the addition of CPR test and team extracation which requires 4 people to work closely together to extracate the victim out of the water safely and asap...fumbled for the team extracation part when i was assigned land rescuer 1...kenna F for not opening up the airways of the victim wide enough and not placing the mask directly above his mouth...other than that the other tests went rather smoothly...was not required to take the written test, sign the SOP procedures and the USD$85 license since we have already done it the last time round and got released relatively early at ard 6p.m...marking the end of the at times cold and bittery 4-day long training...glad that it is finally over at last...no more training from now on...juz one hour of in-service every week to refresh those lifesaving skills that i doubt i would use during my stint here...

Ken, JK and me decided to use the drumsticks we bought wks ago to whip up a chicken dish...wah freakin tedious...need to defroze it...den cut it...pull out all the tendons...andden finally frying it with cauliflower and broccoli...all the effort paid off...good teamwork and partnership between 3 civil engineering students...one of the best home-cooked dish so far i muz say...closest resemblance to mummy's homecooked food...ahhhhh really miss homecooked meals badly but for now gotta settle for our yet-to-be named chicken with broccoli and cauliflower...

NUS CE students are well trained in the science of construction and the art of cooking

Chicken delight!! haven tasted real solid chicken for almost a month...how i miss it

aft a full home-cooked meal...and who can forget it's thurs aka shamrock nite!! reached shamrock at abt 11 plus...heng the bouncer recognize us if not the new rule requires we show our passport and most of us never bring...bought a jar of beer as per norm and stayed in shamrock for the nxt 2 hours before going to Harbour opp the street where most of the lifeguards are...wah happening place...one bottle of beer only $1 man...shud have come here long time ago lah...was made to down finish one bottle aft losing chai quan...nb somemore i am the one who suggest loser finish the whole bottle...getting back my own desserts...went back to shamrock coz no dance floor at harbour...wah lau the drunk ang mohs here are farkin persistent...always harrasing the gals on the dancefloor...and the guys all have to act tough even though they are 1 head taller and 1 bicep bigger...this bloody ang moh beh song and ask me to dance how he dance...knn if i foot taller i will ask him to F off...

head back to the mag at ard 3am...lucky tml only need to report at 12pm...wah if only can request every Fri at 12pm damn shiok...amother great shamrock + harbour nite
