Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Day 33 (Fri)

Guess what it's the 1st day of World Cup...the opening match Germany vs Costa Rica...Live on ESPN II at 12pm Eastern Time...DAMADE!! 12pm is the time i gotta report at raging waters...nabe miss opening match and end up it turns out to be a damn exciting match...4-2 the final score...and 6 goals...all the while i am doing 10-20 scanning in a 1.1m deep river with nothing but empty tubes floating by...wtf...it's world cup leh!!! arrrgghhh

work is pretty much relaxed and slack today...aftall wad can one complain if u only need to work 5 hours...and prob now aft the training and suddenly there is over 80 lifeguards at their beck and call...all the rotation maps have been changed completely...each map is only given 1 sky pond (used to be 2 in a map and that means 1 hour plus shivering in the water) and we gotta do despatch and tube arrangement duties now...which is pretty much nothing juz sending pple down on slides and arranging tubes at the bottom of the slides...

kenna called for audit halfway...tested me on infant CPR and with past wk's training still super fresh on my mind it's chicken feet lah...passed the audit with not much trouble and was given a dark brown bead (perfect audit bead) to add to my lone red safety bead...was juz wondering in the morning when my nxt bead will come when pple ard me are like collecting beads almost every other day...went to ML to work at night...business was quite slow for a Fri nite and as usual got sent back early by the supervisor...getting used to it but cannot complain much also...already clock in my hours for lifeguard in the day and ride operator hours are juz bonuses...and sooner or later we will be asked not to come back to work anymore with so many international students coming in...muz seriously and i mean seriously hunt for a stable, better paying and less chilly conditions 2nd job...and no better than tml...my 1st OFF day on a Sat...when the restaurants and shops are in full swing along Boardwalk...typical of what it will be like everyday when the summer season hits nxt wk...
