An off day can really do wonders...had my full 8 hours of sleep and all was set and ready to go for another full day of lifeguarding and ride operating...a pretty smooth day at the waterpark with hardly much pple ard the whole day...sometimes really feel damn stupid having to constantly rotate my head and scan the Endless River up down left right center for a good whole 3o minutes with no single person floating by and only an empty snickers bar dropping by to say "Hi Hello u stupid idiot!" Was seriously craving for some singaporean dishes in the later part of the aftnoon...wan ton mee...nasi lemak...roti prata...char kway teow...bah kut teh...wah piangz the more i type the more i really feel like flying back eat a good meal den come back again for lifeguarding...
received a pleasant and sweet surprise this aftnoon when i dropped by the recruiting office to pick up my mail...
A mail frm s'pore?? i am not expecting any man...
My heart melted when i opened up the mail...
Ying had sent me the mail and inside was a pair of gloves, a bottle of moisturiser and a note...i had earlier jokingly blog that i wanted a pair of gloves and she really send me one...really felt like strangling her for spending so much on the postage to send me these stuff at first...but den again how sweet can she be...my goodness...was really touched to the max when i read the note...send me all these all the way frm s'pore...juz felt like hugging and thanking her...miss u ying...pa, mummy and hong...all of u...homesickness sets the mood for the rest of the day...
was sent home early at sea dragon...took a slow walk back to the Mag...alone and a rare quiet moment to myself...a thought juz rush in suddenly...what am I doing here in US?? homesickness no less played some part in me asking that...juz hoping now that at the end of it i would have achieve many things out of this trip...the experience...social skills and getting along with others...a higher level of maturity and of coz a bigger social network...really realise how i used to take things for granted in the past with my family providing almost everything i can ask for...and many other more things...stuff i probably won't even know if I have stayed in s'pore...
listening to michael buble 's "Home" on my laptop this very moment......
