Woohoo!!!

An official end to the xiong fortnite of the semester or in f4 lingo...the dreaded hell weeks...haha...2 labs per week over the last 2 weeks and throw in 1 transport test to boot...It's time to countdown to midterm break!! worry about the lab reports later man...and besides i dun even know wadda hell is going on for the geotech labs...i only remember trying desperately to fake my values so the slope will fail for Part a of the lab...as for part b it is best left unsaid...for 3 of us totally have no idea wad went wrong man...our slope seems impossible to fail with a safety factor of 10 to the power of 29 when we should be getting a value close to 1...hahaha...wad a major cockup...

Got the confirmation email from speedwing and got the job for the 1 day roadshow...yipee...one more source of revenue...though not much but it beats betta than nothing...and the job is not too tough too...but got a 2 hour "Non-payable" session to go the week before...that's the minus point lah...anyway book my IPPT to coincide that Saturday too...haha always book like the weekend before the deadline...at this rate i am "training"...i tink history is gonna repeat at khatib camp in 3 weeks time again...like that say those 2 consecutive Sats of IPPT and roadshow are as good as buang...I must catch up more work over the term break!! (yah rite...)

In a continuation to my ultimate goal of building up my resume and with it job experience...i have been scouring intensely over the weekend for internship opportunities this December...google up and down on Sat and Sun...and surf jobstreet, jobsdb, monster, internsg and so on...den realise not many companies have december internship programmes...mainly for the summer holidays which stretch much longer...but still managed to apply to PSA, DBS and Citibank...haha...DBS and Citibank?!!? worldclass banks in my opinion...obviously looking for "worldclass" talents...wah lau i can't believe i actually apply there...juz try my luck lah...hope heng heng can get it lah...but doubt it...certainly not in my case with mediocre results and equally average CCA records...

Amazing Race is back!! for the tenth season!! caught almost every season since its inauguration in 2002...still remem the 1st season was won by a team of lawyers and best friens...and juz fell in love with this reality show from den on...i juz love to see how relationships like father/daughter, husband/wife, sibblings, friends, budding couples or even gay partners are put into the test during the extremities of the race...it portrays how strong their understanding and trust of one another really is during the course of the race...how some of them claim to be lifelong friens and actually fall out because of one million dollars (ok that's really a lot btw)...how relationships have been put to the test and in some case crumble...unable to cope with the rigours of the journey around the world and coupled with tiring obstacles one gotta clear in the form of roadblocks and detours...how one's true character is really manifested when one is totally exhausted and desperate...on the verge of losing out in the race...throw in all the twists and turns...the bizarre situations that the team got themselves to...and u get the one and only Amazing Race...the complete reality show of all time!!

my fav season has gotta be the one with rob and amber on it...i really love how rob always has this uncanny ability to influence and play around with the other teams' minds and pysche...how he actually manipulate them and twirl them around his finger...i also like the one season with the midget i tink her name is charla or something...her gungho spirit despite her physical disabilities really inspire me and put someone perfectly healthy to shame...but i gotta say my fav team gotta be the retired couple from the rob and amber season...i remem one scene when the old lady got hurt very badly in a cave in Eygpt and her whole shirt was tattered with blood but she still refuse to give up...and the old couple's love for one another really touches me...they have this amazing telepathy with one another which somehow the younger couples cannot seem to emulate...and indeed with such understanding and teamwork...they carried themselves to 5th place eventually...a truly commendable effort for their age...in fact they are the highest placed elderly couple in the race's history so far...

certainly will wanna take part if ever go the chance...but must find the truly one solid partner first...heh
