Leon's Boulevard of Unspoken Dreams

A 4th Year NUS Civil Engineering (Offshore) student...with the plainest clues to life's most important questions...so to make life seem much simpler and happier than it actually is...chose to satirise and mock his already complicated and complex 24 years of life history in this blog journal...on the quest to seek the real truth...on the journey to chase his endless dreams...and on the voyage to find out his eternal destiny...ahhhh nothing but crap again...

Foreword: The blogger has been tied down with serious work commitment for the last couple of days and has not been able to update his blog as often as he would like...for the next few weeks or so...such scenarios will occur more often than not as training and orientation piles up and more importantly, the summer goes into full swing...yeepee!!

Day 5

Look at these gleaming old babies man...Weekend Antique or in local terms "Historic" carshow along Boardwalk

Everyone say a Big "HI" to Charlie

One lovely morning...woke up rise and shine at ard 7.30 a.m...went for a run (lasted 6-7 min) wif ken (for abt 6-7 min before he sped off as usual) before walking along the beachline on Boardwalk...the weekend mood is already obvious...New Jerseysians have come frm all over the state to soak up the sun in Wildwood aft days of strong wind and torrential downpour...antique and exotic cars can be seen lining up half the stretch of Boardwalk...cars that I have never seen and most probably will not see in carshows back in S'pore...each of the car seems to have their own character, personality, temper and pretty much a life of its own...anyway i am sure xiao hong wud certainly not be out of place among its bigger and meaner American cousins...rite genie? haha

Went to the social security office to apply for a social security card at ard noon...something like IC back home...with it i can open a bank account (hopefully a Bank of America one), apply for tax relief at IRAS nxt Apr and most importantly get a 2nd job (could hardly make ends meet these days)...the friendly middle-aged woman who attended to me asked me whether I would consider working in US in the future...OF COZ lah...if not i come here for what in the 1st place...i certainly would not mind coming here in the future for overseas attachments or what...9-5 deskbound jobs are certainly not my cup of tea at the moment...this W&T thingy will be a good stepping stone for me frm a personal point of view i hope :)

really good life here...my boss juz promoted me frm sea dragon operator to AVP within 2 days and gave me this as part of the employee benefit...can i pull it off anot ah?

which one shud i choose ah...black like nicer rite?

red hot chilli pepper

issued my social security receipt...certified alien working in US aft today

Started my 1st day of operations at sea dragon today...paired up with this NTU yr 3 mech engin girl call yilin...found out she also 1st day working and was trained juz today only...wah lau siao liao i was thinkin...putting 2 newbies into this rather high level ride on mariner's landing does not seem exactly the best combination...somehow thanks in due to beginners' luck or miraculous help...the show went on quite smoothly...haha but on the whole i muz say it's quite fun lah except the wind was chilly and the ride is facing the atlantic heads on...still go act poser and bring my HK$20 pirated harley davidson shades when instead i shud have brought my moreys jacket...heng JK's jacket rescue me...learnt my lesson again...the right things for the right time...

Leon Low ready for action

Footnote: The Blogger is unable to continue blogging for Day 6's of events as he is suffering from severe migraine, blurred vision and nauseous symptoms resulting frm 11.5 hours of work and 7 continuous hours of constantly warching the giant sea dragon pendulum swinging...Day 6 and Day 7 will be brought concurrently in the next entry...juz wanna end today's blog by wishing all mothers in the world a very "Happy Mothers' Day" and esp my dearest mummy "Mu Qing Jie Kuai Le! Wo ai ni! ----- Guo Ming"
